“Molten Oasis” is a premier example of site-integrated architecture. Featured in Utah Style & Design, the residence is celebrated for its disciplined, modern silhouette that sits in striking contrast to the jagged basalt lava flows of Southern Utah.

The design utilizes a sophisticated series of interlocking rectilinear volumes and flat roof planes. Rather than using curves to mimic the landscape, we employed sharp, clean angles to frame the organic chaos of the surrounding red rock and black lava. This juxtaposition highlights the beauty of the natural environment through a lens of human-made precision.
